Collection of general data when visiting our website

When you access our website, information of a general nature are collected automatically by the means of a cookie. These information (server log files) include data such as the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider or the like. This information cannot be tracked back to you as an individual.

These information are technically essential to display the website content correctly and are generated necessarily during internet use. Particularly, they are used for the following purposes:

  • assurance of a smooth connection setup to the website,
  • assurance of a comfortable use of our website,
  • evaluation of system safety and stability and also
  • for other administrative purposes.

Our legitimate interest in processing your personal data arises from the data collection purposes mentioned above. We do not use these data to draw conclusions about your person. Only the controller and, if necessary, the data processor receive these data.

Anonymous information of this kind can be analyzed statistically in order to optimize our internet site and its underlying technology.

Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files that are transferred by a website to your computer’s hard disk. This provides us automatically with certain data such as your IP address, the browser used, the operating system and your connection to the internet.

Cookies cannot be used to run programs or to transfer viruses to a computer. The information contained in cookies serves to facilitate navigation and ensures that our webpages are displayed correctly.

The information we collect will on no account be transferred to third parties and will also not be linked to your personal data without your consent.

You can certainly also view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are usually set up to accept cookies. If you do not want to receive cookies, you can generally deactivate cookies by adjusting your browser setting accordingly at any time. Please use the help function of your internet browser to find out how you can modify these settings. Please note that some functions of our website may not work if you deactivate the use of cookies.

SSL encryption

We use the current state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS to protect the security of your data during transmission.

Contact form

By contacting us via e-mail or by using our contact form for questions of any kind, you give us your voluntary consent to the purpose of contacting you. Therefore, a valid e-mail address is necessary. This e-mail address is used to assign and then answer your enquiry. The provision of further data is optional. The information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your enquiry and for possible follow-up questions. Personal data will be deleted automatically once your enquiry has been completed.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web service provided by Google Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Google). Google Analytics uses so called “cookies”, which are text files stored on your computer and which help to analyze how the website is used by you. The information generated by the cookies about your website use will be usually transferred to a Google server in the United States and will be stored there. However, due to the IP-address anonymization on these websites, the Google IP-address will be shortened beforehand within all member states of the European Union and in all others states, which are part of the agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP-address be transferred to a Google server in the United States and only then shortened over there. On behalf of the website provider, Google will use these information to evaluate your website use, to compile reports about website activities and to provide further services for the website provider concerning website- and internet usage. The IP-address, transferred from your browser by Google Analytics, will not be merged with other data from Google.

The evaluation of website use as well as the compilation of reports about website activities comprise the purposes of data processing. Based on this website- and internet usage, further services are then to be provided. The processing bases on the legitimate interest of the website owner.

You can prevent the saving of cookies by selecting the appropriate setting in your browser, however, please note that in this case, you may not be able to use all website functions to full extent. Furthermore, you can prevent the data collection related to your website usage behavior (including your IP address) and generated by the cookie, which is forwarded to and processed by Google, if you download and install the available browser plugin under the following link: Browser add on for deactivating Google Analytics.

Additionally or as an alternative to the browser-add-on, you can eliminate the Google Analytics tracking on our websites by clicking this link. In doing so, an opt-out-cookie is installed on your device. With this cookie, the data collection by Google Analytics for this specific browser and this specific website is then prevented for the future, as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.

Use of script libraries (Google Webfonts)

In order to present our contents correctly and graphically appealing across all browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on this website. To avoid multiple loading, Google Web Fonts are transferred to the cache of your web browser. If your browser does not support Google Web Fonts or does not allow access, the contents will be displayed in a default font.

Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically, triggers a connection to the library operator. Theoretically it is possible – though also currently unclear whether, and if so, for what purposes – that operators of the corresponding libraries collect data.

You will find the privacy policy of the library operator Google under the following link: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Use of Google Maps

This Website uses Google Maps API to visually display geographical information. When using Google maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data relating to how visitors use the Google Maps functions. For detailed information on data processing by Google, please refer to the Google data privacy policy. At the Google privacy center, you can also change your personal data privacy settings.

For detailed instructions on managing your own data in connection with Google products, please use this link.

Embedded YouTube-Videos

On some of our websites, we embed YouTube videos. The operator of the respective plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. If you visit one of our web pages that features a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. In the course of this, the YouTube server gets informed about the pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to directly assign your surfing behavior to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging off your YouTube account before visiting a web page that features a YouTube plugin.

Whenever a YouTube video starts, the operator uses cookies to collect information on the user's behavior.

If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google-Ad program, you do not have to expect such cookies when watching YouTube videos. YouTube, however, also stores non-personal user information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.

Please refer to the operator's data privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Google AdWords

Our website uses Google conversion tracking. Google Adwords will set a cookie on your computer if you have reached our website through an ad delivered by Google. The cookie for conversion tracking is automatically set when a user clicks on an ad delivered by Google. These cookies are not aimed at personal identification and they expire after 30 days. If the user visits particular pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google as well can see that the user had clicked the ad and was directed to this page. Each Google Adwords customer receives a different cookie. Thus, cookies cannot be tracked across the website of Google Adwords customers. The information obtained through the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for Google Adwords customers, who have decided to use conversion tracking. The customers will get to know the total number of users who had clicked their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they receive no information that could be used to identify the user personally.

If you do not want to participate in the tracking process, you can refuse the setting of a cookie, for example by adjusting your browser setting, which then generally deactivates automatic cookie setting. You can also disable cookies for conversion tracking by configuring your browser to block cookies from the domain „googleleadservices.com“.

Please note that you should not delete the opt-out-cookie as long as you do not want the recording of measurement data to happen. If you delete all cookies in your browser, you have to reset the respecting opt-out-cookie.

Amendment of our privacy policy

We reserve the right to adjust this data privacy statement to ensure that it always complies with current legal requirements or to integrate changes of our services in our data privacy statement, such as the introduction of new services. For your future visit on our website, the new data privacy statement is applicable.
